We all think child abuse can't happen to someone we know or love. The sad truth is that it can. Child abuse does not discriminate in age, sex or nationality. It can happen in any neighborhood or any town. It is in every part of our society. It can be next door or in the next room.

There are agencies and resources today aiding those who are abused. One of those agencies is the Children's Justice Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.  The CJC is dedicated to promoting the coordination of professional investigative, assessment and intervention services for abused and neglected children and their families.
